Starting in January of this year, Ocrim launched a collaboration project with the “Janello Torriani” Senior High School in Cremona to help students enter the labour market in a path that aims to strengthen the link between education and local manufacturing companies. The sixth form students had the opportunity to meet the engineer Simone Pedrini, head of Ocrim’s equipment engineering design department, to be introduced to the industrial sector in the city of Cremona and gain a more concrete view of the company’s dynamics.
This encounter was a unique opportunity for the students to get an insider’s view of a local undertaking and put into practice the skills they have acquired during their studies. During the first meeting, the engineer Pedrini explained in detail the professional profiles of Ocrim experts who might work alongside the students at the various Ocrim sites: from mechanical designer to electrical designer, from maintenance operator to testing technician, from member of the spare parts team to management and coordination roles, such as project manager or head of department. Working alongside the company’s technicians and senior management is a great opportunity for young people interested in learning about the skills and expertise required on the job and discovering the dynamics of a highly specialised and innovative industrial context operating worldwide.
The project, which will continue with new meetings in the coming months, is part of a broader framework of initiatives that aim to reduce the gap between school education and the labour market, ensuring students a smoother transition into the world of work. With this collaboration, Ocrim confirms its commitment to supporting the new generations, offering them the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with a dynamic and international environment, stimulating their personal and professional growth. The ultimate goal is to provide them with the necessary tools to face the future challenges of the labour market with skill and confidence.
