This month, we had the pleasure of hosting a delegation of around thirty millers from various Italian mills, giving them the opportunity to see firsthand the development and operation of the most advanced technologies in Italian Made milling plants. A concrete and educational experience, perfectly aligned with their training path to become Milling Industry Technicians—a course promoted by Italmopa, Antim, and the Unione Parmense degli Industriali, in collaboration with the training organization Cisita Parma.

The goal of the course is to provide specialized skills in techniques and technologies related to the roles of milling operator and production manager in the milling industry. For this reason, the visit to our facilities represented an important opportunity for in-depth learning. Welcoming and guiding the delegation was our Director of the Technological Department, Marco Galli, who led them through all departments, illustrating each stage of the entirely in-house manufacturing processes.

During the lesson, the visitors showed great interest, asking questions and sharing their curiosity. However, what particularly captured their attention were the production processes of the roller mill—the heart of the mill—during their visit to the workshops.

The guests then explored the floors of the Milling Hub, the final stop of their tour, showing great curiosity about the durum wheat dehulling and milling processes. This national center of excellence for grain milling stands as a concrete example of cutting-edge technology and product traceability.

We take great pride in contributing our expertise to the training of milling industry technicians. Our commitment to this field dates back to 1965, when we founded the Professional School of Milling Technology to qualify the personnel of our customers. Since then, we have trained hundreds of millers, mechanics, engineers, and laboratory analysts from all over the world, providing them with increasingly specialized skills.

Confirming this strong vocation, in 2020, in line with the Milling Hub initiative, we established the Milling Hub Masterclass training center with the goal of expanding and innovating our educational offerings. This Masterclass is exclusively reserved for experienced technicians, ensuring a high-level training program. The curriculum delves into seed knowledge and follows the entire processing cycle of grains and legumes up to the commercialization of finished products, offering a comprehensive and specialized view of the supply chain.
