The second day of Wheat, flour and… in Turin took place once again at the MAUTO – National Automobile Museum – offering a setting that combined precision with inspiration. The museum, a symbol of Italian ingenuity, provided a backdrop perfectly aligned with Ocrim’s philosophy: a company that for eighty years has blended tradition, technology, and strategic vision.
The day opened with Stefano Mazzini, Ocrim’s Commercial & Marketing and Communication Director, who presented the 2025 corporate video. Designed as a reflection on the company’s values and evolution on its eightieth anniversary, the milestone was framed not as a finish line, but as a fresh starting point. “Every day – not just on special anniversaries – is unique and meaningful for us, carrying value, dedication, and passion,” Mazzini explained.
The visual narrative, voiced by an internationally renowned actor and film director, traced a path between memory and modernity, weaving together historical and never-before-seen footage. His involvement was deliberate: sharing the same hometown as Ocrim, he symbolically links cultural roots with industrial continuity.

Mazzini then provided insights into the milling sector and market trends, sharing up-to-date data and precise analyses. He highlighted how Ocrim has evolved while staying true to its core values, citing Sergio Marchionne’s leadership at FIAT as an example of visionary management. He also introduced two strategic partnerships: a minority stake in Meyer Italy, the Italian branch of the global leader in optical sorters, and the acquisition of Grespan Impianti, a Treviso-based company with over sixty years of experience in feed mill design and production.
Annabella Grespan, CEO of Grespan Impianti, emphasized: “With Ocrim and the Antolini family, we’ve found strong allies who share our core values and our belief that technological innovation, sustainability, ethics, and human relationships must advance together.”

The Logistics Conference: Efficiency, Sustainability, and the Future

Eloisa Martino (Ocrim’s Communication and Marketing Office) introduced the conference, “Logistics in Milling and Agro-Industrial Complexes”. “Logistics has existed as long as humanity itself,” she noted, “but today it carries new responsibilities: ethical, environmental, and social.” The conference was structured as a conceptual journey, spanning international routes to the heart of the mill, exploring current and future challenges.
Speakers included:

  • Andrea Valente (Owner of Molini Valente Spa, former Italmopa President 2021-2025) on the flow of soft wheat in Italy;
  • Cosimo De Sortis (Senior Trader at Amber Srl, former Italmopa President 2017-2021) on international shipping and Italian commercial and industrial demand;
  • Stefano Zangheri (Senior Sales Manager at Paglierani Srl) on packaging as a tool for food safety, as well as palletization and end-of-line processes crucial for logistics optimization, product integrity, and traceability;
  • Riccardo Accorsi (Associate Professor, University of Bologna, Department of Industrial Engineering) on sustainability and managing the mills of the future.

The discussion with the audience confirmed that today, logistics is not just a set of processes, but a practical and moral commitment to the environment, sustainability, and future generations.

Philatelic Commemoration by Poste Italiane

One of the most symbolic and moving moments was the postal cancellation ceremony. Marta Latini (Ocrim Marketing) presented the commemorative stamp, executed by CEO Alberto Antolini alongside Marcella Domenica Messina, Cremona’s regional Philately representative. “This stamp is not just a mark on paper,” Antolini said, “it’s an imprint of our history, linked to those who came before us and inspiring us to look ahead with renewed energy.” Following the ceremony, Alberto Antolini gave the first Ocrim 80th-anniversary postcard to his brother Sergio, the company’s president, who had been seated beside him. Guests were invited to take a specially designed postcard, write a personal message, and send it to someone dear. (A few days later, this precious postcard arrived back at Ocrim.)

The Symbolism of “This Will Be”
The anniversary video followed, highlighting a full year of celebrations, culminating with scenes from the Turin events. The tagline “This Will Be” was intentional: as Alberto Antolini explained, it embodies Ocrim’s core philosophy. More than a literal translation, it signals intent and a proactive approach. In Latin, fiat means “let it be done” – the same guiding principle behind Ocrim’s daily operations, inviting vision to be transformed into reality. This principle infused every moment of Wheat, flour and…, making each one both spectacular and tangible.
Mazzini then presented a video honoring the women of Ocrim and the guests attending the event, combining footage from the morning with archival material. “We wanted to celebrate the strength and beauty of the women who build this reality with us every day,” Mazzini noted, prompting reflection and emotional engagement.

Immersive Cultural Experiences

After lunch, guests explored MAUTO’s exhibitions, discovering icons of Italian automotive engineering – a tradition of craftsmanship that resonates with the industrial heritage of the milling sector – and observing how creativity, skill, and technological innovation connect both industries.

The day concluded at the stunning Castello di Pralormo, just outside Turin, where guests savored local cuisine and enjoyed live music, featuring a DJ and a saxophonist who added a lively and memorable touch to the evening.

In Closing, it is Worth Highlighting…

During the event, attendees from around the world – representing diverse cultures, languages, traditions, and beliefs – shared moments of genuine harmony and mutual respect. While these experiences are not meant to compare or diminish the hardships of those facing conflicts or crises, seeing such diversity interact with warmth and cordiality offered profound comfort. A small, yet powerful reminder of the potential for coexistence, dialogue, and solidarity among people.
