“Un gran evento y excelente atención de todos ustedes. El ambiente de trabajo y el profesionalismo que trasmiten es increíble”. J.L.T.

With these words, one of our guests thanked us at the close of the 2025 edition of Grano, farina e… (Wheat, flour and…), held in Turin from September 19 to 21, on the occasion of our 80th anniversary. Three intense days devoted to innovation, training, and the culture of the milling industry, offered us the opportunity to engage with operators and professionals from around the world.
The 2025 edition opened on Thursday evening with an elegant aperitif dinner in two of Turin’s most symbolic venues: Caffè Platti 1875, a historic café that has welcomed generations of intellectuals and entrepreneurs, and Gerla Palestro 1927, the latest addition to the Gerla1927 group — a name that perfectly blends culinary tradition with a contemporary approach to hospitality. Moments of conviviality that allowed participants to meet, connect, and set the tone for an engaging edition.

Opening and Ocrim’s Vision
On Friday morning, guests gathered at the MAUTO Auditorium, where Alberto Antolini [1] shared Ocrim’s story, emphasizing that Italian identity is not a slogan but a tangible choice: producing in Italy, with care and responsibility, milling machines and plants that embody excellence and are exported worldwide.
Federico Vecchioni [2] presented the Ocrim–BF Educational alliance, unveiling new international training and sustainability projects, and underlining how our work goes beyond generating material wealth — it brings food, technology, and knowledge where they are most needed.

Round Table: Technology and Artificial Intelligence
The round table “Ocrim’s Vision for Mills: Rollermills, Purifiers and Plansifters with AI Integration”, presented by Stefano Mazzini [3] and moderated by Lorenzo Cavalli [4] and Massimo Carpanelli [5], featured Ocrim experts Fabrizio Baccinelli [6], Marco Galli [7], Paolo Molinari[8], Emanuele Bigna[9] and Simone Pedrini[10].
The discussion explored how artificial intelligence can enhance existing plant data, support production planning, preventive and predictive maintenance, and optimize energy consumption — all while preserving the irreplaceable experience of the miller.
Later, Carolina Ghilardi [11]humorously introduced Ocrim’s new service with a short sketch, followed by Valeria Monfredini [12], who detailed the launch of the new Ticketing Portal, which will become operational in 2026 to ensure faster, more transparent, and more effective after-sales service.
Friday evening culminated in a memorable gala dinner inside the Galleria Diana at the Reggia di Venaria, with more than 220 guests seated at an imperial table stretching 75 meters. The elegance of the setting, accompanied by live string quartet music, created a truly unique atmosphere, enriched by the performance of the Fontana del Cervo, which provided an unforgettable finale to Ocrim’s 80th anniversary celebrations.

A Day Focused on Logistics, Innovation and Future Perspectives
Saturday was dedicated to logistics and to the future outlook of the industry. Stefano Mazzini opened the session by presenting the 2025 corporate video, followed by analyses of both the Italian and international milling markets.
In his speech, Mazzini introduced new collaborations with Meyer Italy, a global leader in optical sorters, and Grespan Impianti, a company based in Treviso specializing in the design of feed plants.
On stage, Annabella Grespan, CEO of the company bearing her name, emphasized the shared values and the mutual commitment to grow together through innovation and sustainability.
The conference “Logistics in Milling and Agro-Industrial Complexes”, introduced by Eloisa Martino[13], featured Andrea Valente[14], Cosimo De Sortis[15], Stefano Zangheri [16] and Riccardo Accorsi[17],who engaged in a discussion on efficiency, sustainability, and the future of logistics in the milling sector.
The day concluded with the commemorative postmark ceremony, organized by Poste Italiane and presented by Marta Latini[18], with the stamping performed by Alberto Antolini and Marcella Domenica Messina[19]— a symbolic moment that celebrated the company’s history and continuity.
In the afternoon, guests visited the exhibitions at MAUTO – Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile, immersing themselves in the icons of Italian automotive engineering and discovering how creativity, ingenuity, and technological innovation are shared traits between the automotive and milling industries.
The day ended at Castello di Pralormo, where guests enjoyed local cuisine and live musical entertainment featuring a DJ and saxophonist, in an atmosphere that perfectly combined elegance and conviviality.

Sunday: Turin and Culture
On Sunday, the professional experience turned into a cultural journey through the beauties of Turin. Guests visited the Teatro Regio, Caffè Baratti, Piazza San Carlo, and Piazza Castello, continuing on to the Chapel of the Holy Shroud. The day concluded with a lunch featuring local specialties and a visit to Palazzo Reale, including areas that are normally closed to the public.

The 2025 edition of Grano, farina e… (Wheat, flour, and…) brought together tradition, innovation, and international exchange, strengthening the sense of community within our industry and celebrating the passion that drives Ocrim every day.
