World Sowing Day

Welcome to a new episode of O|NewLive, released today, March 21, to mark World Sowing Day — a symbolic occasion that coincides with the spring equinox and the beginning of a new vegetative cycle.

This is an international, not-yet-institutional initiative, also known as World Planting Day, dedicated to biodiversity and to the act of sowing — the first and most decisive step in every agricultural journey.

Sowing represents the true starting point of the entire agri-food supply chain: a gesture that embodies vision, responsibility and a long-term perspective.

To explore the value of this fundamental act, O|NewLive features a contribution by Mauro Tonello, President of Asseme, who shares a reflection on the central role of sowing, focusing on seeds, soil care and the importance of long-term thinking in agriculture.
