Bucket elevetor
The bucket elevator is a mechanical system designed for the vertical lifting and transport of bulk materials, which can vary greatly in type and size. This type of elevator is widely used in numerous industrial sectors due to its versatility and the ability to handle materials ranging from cereals to semi-finished products, powders, and granular materials. This system is particularly suitable for lifting materials of varying densities, such as grains, seeds, flours, and, in general, products that need to be transported vertically over long distances. The bucket elevator consists of a series of buckets mounted on a belt or chain that moves through a system of vertical guides. The material to be lifted is introduced into the buckets at the base of the system, and, thanks to the continuous movement of the belt or chain, it is lifted to the top of the elevator, where it is discharged at the designated point thanks to the centrifugal speed. The combination of chain speed, inclination, and bucket capacity allows the bucket elevator to be adapted to different types of materials and operational conditions. In the production of flours, semolina, and cereals, the bucket elevator is used to lift materials between different processing stages, such as from the storage silo to the mill or to the final storage silo.
