The 2025 edition of Wheat, flour and\u2026<\/em> opened at the MAUTO Auditorium in Turin<\/strong>, welcoming guests from all over the world to celebrate Ocrim\u2019s 80th anniversary<\/strong>. The first of two days dedicated to innovation, dialogue and exchange brought together technology, education and sustainability, connecting the company\u2019s heritage with its present and future. <\/p>\n\n\n

The event was opened by Alberto Antolini<\/em><\/strong>[1]<\/sup><\/strong><\/em><\/a> who spoke with heartfelt honesty about Ocrim\u2019s journey: \u201cOver the years, we\u2019ve helped broaden the idea of Made in Italy worldwide. Back in 2007, after expressing my doubts, I decided to take on what then looked like an adventure \u2014 reshaping and realigning the vision of our Cremona-based company. The phrase that guided me was \u2018this too shall pass\u2019, a reminder to balance moments of frustration with moments of joy.\u201d<\/em> Antolini emphasized that being Italian<\/strong> is not a slogan, but a conscious choice: producing in Italy, with care and responsibility, milling machines and plants that embody excellence and craftsmanship. He also highlighted the symbolic value of hosting the event in Turin \u2014 a city that has long represented the spirit of Italian industrialization and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Federico Vecchioni[2]<\/sup><\/a><\/strong> then underlined the strength of the Ocrim\u2013BF alliance: a partnership that goes beyond production to bring knowledge, training <\/strong>and sustainable development<\/strong> to communities in need. He spoke about BF Educational<\/strong>, the private university to be inaugurated this month, open to young people from all over the world, as well as new projects in feed production and the protein supply chain. . \u201cOur mission is not just to create material value,\u201d he said. \u201cWe bring food, technology and knowledge where they are needed most \u2014 building opportunities and wellbeing.\u201d<\/em>, Federico Vecchioni stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A highlight of the day was the round table discussion \u201cOcrim\u2019s Vision for Mills: Rollermills, purifiers and plansifters with AI Applications.\u201d <\/strong> Presented by Stefano Mazzini <\/g>\n [3]<\/g>\n<\/g> and moderated by Lorenzo Cavalli<\/g>\n [4]<\/g>\n<\/g> and Massimo Carpanelli<\/g> \n [5]<\/g>\n<\/g> , the session featured insights from Ocrim experts: Fabrizio Baccinelli<\/em>\n [6]<\/sup>\n<\/a>, Marco Galli<\/em>\n [7]<\/sup>\n<\/a>, Paolo Molinari<\/em>\n [8]<\/sup>\n<\/a>, Emanuele Bigna<\/em>\n [9]<\/sup>\n<\/a> and Simone Pedrini<\/em>\n [10]<\/sup>\n<\/a>. The conversation explored how AI can make the most of data already available in milling plants \u2014 supporting production planning, preventive and predictive maintenance, and optimizing energy efficiency \u2014 without replacing the miller\u2019s experience. Ocrim\u2019s approach aims to merge technology, data and know-how to prepare today\u2019s and tomorrow\u2019s mills for smarter and more sustainable management. The lively Q&A session that followed confirmed the audience\u2019s strong interest in the topic and in Ocrim\u2019s forward-looking approach. <\/p>\n\n\n

Later, Carolina Ghilardi<\/em>\n [11]<\/sup>\n<\/a> introduced a new service through a lighthearted sketch, setting the stage for Valeria Monfredini <\/em>\n [12]<\/sup>\n<\/a> , who revealed more details about the initiative. She announced that in 2026 Ocrim will launch its new Ticketing Portal<\/strong>, designed to make after-sales service even faster, more transparent and more efficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gala dinner at Venaria Royal Palace<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day concluded with a spectacular evening in the Galleria Diana of the Venaria Royal Palace<\/strong>, where more than 220 guests <\/strong>gathered at a single 75-meter-long<\/strong> imperial table to celebrate and share a moment of joy and connection. The elegance of the halls, the rich decorations and the baroque architecture created an atmosphere of timeless beauty, turning dinner into an immersive experience of history and art.
A string quartet accompanied each course, creating a perfect harmony of music, ambiance and conviviality. The evening ended with the breathtaking Fontana del Cervo show: water jets rising nine meters high danced to the melodies of great composers \u2014 including Beethoven\u2019s Ode to Joy \u2014 offering an unforgettable finale to Ocrim\u2019s 80th anniversary celebration.
