{"id":8994,"date":"2024-11-07T09:45:00","date_gmt":"2024-11-07T08:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ai-lati.com\/?p=8994"},"modified":"2025-07-02T08:31:18","modified_gmt":"2025-07-02T06:31:18","slug":"ocrim-for-africa-challenges-and-opportunities","status":"publish","type":"ailati","link":"https:\/\/www.ocrim.com\/en\/ailati\/ocrim-for-africa-challenges-and-opportunities\/","title":{"rendered":"OCRIM FOR AFRICA &#8211; Challenges and Opportunities"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On 21 October 2024, the Centro Incontri Diplomatici (Centre for Diplomatic Encounters), in collaboration with the Federazione Nazionale dei Diplomatici e Consoli Esteri in Italia (National Federation of Foreign Diplomats and Consuls in Italy) organised an important congress on Africa with the title: \u201c<strong><em>AFRICA &#8211; Economy, resources, and programmes \u2013 New challenges for the future<\/em><\/strong><em>\u201d.<\/em> The encounter, held online on the Zoom platform, was attended by several North African, sub-Saharan, and African island nations; a total of <strong>18 participating countries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The introductory speeches of the Cremona-based institutions were followed by in-depth discussions regarding the continent\u2019s development prospects, with a focus on <strong>economy, resources, and programmes<\/strong>; the participants examined various topics, ranging from the analysis of the Italian government\u2019s <strong>Mattei Plan<\/strong> to the implementation of investment <strong>economic strategies<\/strong> in certain countries, and <strong>international cooperation<\/strong> projects in key development sectors, such as healthcare and education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The encounter was attended by the representatives of several African countries, professors from Italian Universities, representatives of healthcare or voluntary associations, and representatives of Italian undertakings, with the aim of <strong>jointly discussing and gaining insights on the challenges and opportunities that the African continent offers <\/strong>in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To this end, <strong>Ocrim, <\/strong>ambassador of Italian Made, was invited as an example of the key role that Italy and Italian undertakings can play in the economic and agri-food development of the continent.
